Wyoming Sports Markets

Wyoming sportsbooks cover every major U.S. and international sport. This hub summarizes market depth by sport and links to deep dives on the biggest markets. For team-by-team coverage including the Denver Broncos, Wyoming Cowboys, and other regional franchises, see the teams hub.

What Wyoming allows that other states don't

Wyoming is more permissive than most U.S. markets in two specific ways:

  • College player props are legal. States like New Jersey, Maryland, and Louisiana restrict wagers on individual college athletes. Wyoming permits them, so you can bet Wyoming Cowboys QB passing yards, Colorado Buffaloes receiver receptions, or any other NCAA player market.
  • In-state college team betting is allowed. Some states block wagers on their own state universities. Wyoming allows full markets on the Cowboys and other in-state NCAA programs.

What's restricted: high school sports and amateur/recreational events are not available as markets, in line with federal and Commission rules.

Most popular Wyoming markets

  1. NFL, by far the largest, typically 35-45% of total state handle
  2. College football, second by handle, peaking during bowl season and CFP
  3. NBA, steady year-round contributor
  4. College basketball, March Madness drives the biggest single-week handle spike of the year
  5. MLB, summer filler, highest volume of same-game parlay action
  6. NHL, strong regional interest given Colorado Avalanche proximity
  7. UFC / MMA, concentrated handle on PPV nights
  8. Soccer, golf, tennis, smaller but meaningful
